365 Things To Do In Costa Mesa – Canstruction – Day 72

Canstruction is art with a twist (of the can opener!) Yes, more art and this exhibit is finishing up September 26, 2010. Head over to South Coast Plaza to check out some of the most original artwork ever constructed out of canned goods!

The Coolness

All of the canned food gets donated to local food banks at the end of the event – sweet! Also, anyone who brings a can of food to the event will get a free ride on the carousel!

The Concept of Canstruction

Canstruction is actually a non-profit aimed at ending world hunger. Go see the exhibit for yourself to witness what happens when engineers, architects, and students compete to design the best sculpture. (Past displays have included giant dinosaurs and even a replica of Angel Stadium). This event is an annual one at South Coast Plaza.

Will you bring a can?
