365 Things To Do In Costa Mesa – Rock and Support – Day 74

KOCI Radio:

I have to admit I didn’t even know about 101.5FM until I read about this fundraiser. I can’t be the only one! So who are they? KOCI-FM is a local radio station here in the OC that aims to provide an alternative to the mainstream radio stations that are found all throughout SoCal and focus more on the local audience. They have strong ties with local businesses and people to promote the scoop.

Today’s Event:

Since KOCI (101.5 FM) is a non-profit, community radio station they are hosting a fundraiser to help support their efforts. For a $10 charititable donation you can rock all day at Costa Mesa’s nicest dive bar – Westside Bar & Grill.  Who’s on the lineup?

-Newport Blues Band

-Kerry Chester

-Balboa Blues Band

-Third Garden Band

Plus there will be raffles and all that fun stuff.

KOCI Supports:

-Environmental Groups

-The Children (They have a series called “Life Changes for Kids”)

-Educational Charities & more

512 W. 19th St., Costa Mesa, CA 92626

So if you’re looking for a place to grab a bite, a brew, hear some tunes, and support a good cause, this event is your best bet for today in Costa Mesa.
