365 Things To Do In Costa Mesa – Avila’s El Ranchita and Football – Day 126

Avila’s El Ranchita

If you enjoy Mexican food, Costa Mesa has plenty of yummy choices. Avila’s El Ranchita is a popular chain that has been successful around LA and the OC for over 40 years. Our local restaurant is run by Maria Elena Avila and she is known for being a big supporter of the community. Some of her popular creations include the “Botana Carnitas” and “Pepe’s Special.”

Football and Avila’s El Ranchita

On Wednesday, November 17, 2010 there will be a fundraiser to support the Estancia High School Eagles football team. If you are looking for somewhere to eat tonight consider going to El Ranchita between 4-10pm. Twenty percent of the proceeds made this night will be donated to the team. Why do they need it? They are in a pretty steep debt for football uniforms. This is a way to help them get a clean slate… P.S. Congrats Eagles on your big win in the Battle of the Bell last Friday!
