365 Things To Do In Costa Mesa – Bachata Dance – Day 154

What is Bachata Dance?

I didn’t know so I’m sure a few of you don’t too, admit it – I can’t be the only one! Check it out at Salsa Swing Connection on Wednesday nights.  According to the dance schools website, “Bachata is a style of dance that accompanies the music of the same name. The dance is a four-step beat achieved with a walking Cuban hip motion, and a unique “pop”. It was created in Europe and the US. The teachers of this class are Alma & JD.

If you want to give Bachata a try you can head over on Wednesday nights. Classes are $12/session but first time students get 50% off with the coupon at http://www.salsera.com.  All levels are welcome and after the hour long dance class there is practice time so you can brush up on your technique.
