Lights Here, Lights There, Lights EVERYWHERE!
“It’s the most wonderful time of the year…” Light-wise that’s for sure! It seems like everywhere you look in Costa Mesa another house is decorated to the max. Before I recommended this event, I took a driving tour myself and have some suggestions… But I need to hear from you about other areas that I missed – so please comment below if you know of a good street to enjoy the twinkling lights.
Mesa Verde
The winding streets made it easy to take a slow drive and admire all the lights. Canary Drive had lots of lights as did Samar. I also saw a cool home on Madeira with a large star rigged to the top of the house that is visible blocks away.
Every street off of Gisler is full of sparkly lights and Gibraltar, Labrador and Baker offer plenty of pretty displays. There is a nice manger scene on Baker near Labrador.
College Park
Take Fair Drive and head east, from Harbor to Fair Drive. Every single side street has decorated homes. Specifically Duke Place had some memorable displays including a tall Christmas tree pole set upon the roof of the house.
Eastside
I’ve all ready pointed out the Snoopy House, which is a coveted attraction at 2269 Santa Ana Ave. As you head south on Santa Ana I thought that Rose Street looked amazing.
Westside
Passing through Westside I noticed lots of lights as I headed west on Victoria. Also, a house on Governor Street had a tent set up with a mini display of lights that was pretty to pass.
Looking at Christmas lights is a family-friendly activity and just plain fun… Plus it’s free! Make it a holiday tradition and embrace the holiday season.
