365 Things To Do In Costa Mesa – SMMOC – Day 185

SMMOC is a noun. It’s a verb. You can even use it as an adjective.

It’s also a twitter handle (@smmoc). A Facebook group. A Foursquare place. And a Hashtag.

What is the elusive SMMOC?

Unarguably it’s my fave group to hang with on Saturday mornings at a cool industrial space in Costa Mesa. SMMOC stands for Social Media Masterminds of Orange County and it’s a group of people who come together and brainstorm, share, and experiment with social media trends and tools. Founder Robert Watson (@topbrokerOC) started the group over a year ago and it has blossomed into a group of smart, savvy social media and social marketing strategists. Really, anyone who is interested in these subjects can attend, contribute, and learn. In fact I ALWAYS find out tons of new tricks and make great contacts (and friends) at these sessions. We are so fortunate that the group calls Costa Mesa home. I highly suggest anyone who is curious about social media tactics venture out on a Saturday morning and check out this cool group.

There are also sessions occassionally on Tuesday and Thursdays – check out their Google Calendar for additional opportunities to visit.

Saturdays from 9am-11am

2930 Grace Lane, Costa Mesa, CA 92626
