365 Things To Do In Costa Mesa – Rock Of Ages Free Mini-Concert – Day 222

Don’t Stop Believin…’ – Yes There Is Such a Thing as a Free Concert!

The Broadway show Rock of Ages is going to take the OC by storm. It is a rock show on stage and a story with heart underlies the pop music. You’ve heard the story before, small time girl moves to LA and meets a boy with big city dreams and they experience the wild and whirlwind of the Sunset Strip.

Personally I love The Viper Room and Red Rock – Viper Room is a fun music venue and Red Rock is just fun, hands down. What places do you love on The Strip?

Play this scenario out to the rock music of greats like Journey, REO Speedwagon, Styx, Foreigner, Pat Benetar and more and you’re in for a trip down memory lane.

Who do you like to rock out to?

An American Idol Tie-In…

These days American Idol seems to go hand in hand with rock/pop icons so it’s only fitting that the cute Constantine Maroulis plays the role of Drew, the big city dreamin’ guy.

Thursday, February 24, 2011 there will be a free mini-concert at South Coast Plaza’s Jewel Court at 1pm. And yes, CONSTANTINE WILL BE THERE and this is a great way to hear some awesome music and liven up your Thursday afternoon… Then you can hit the shops! (Across the street at Metro Pointe I know that Nordstrom Rack is having a one day event where women’s designer apparel will be 60-70% off!)
