The 8th Annual Costa Mesa Community Run will take place on Saturday, April 25th at Fairview Park. This event features one of the best 5K and 10K courses you’ll find in Southern California.
The 5K course begins in Estancia High School. After exiting the stadium you’ll enter into Fairview Park. The course is mostly flat and run on hard packed trails. You’ll take one loop on the “lower bowl” before heading back to the stadium finish.
The 10K course also starts and finishes in Estancia High School stadium. After exiting the stadium you will run with the 5K participants out into Fairview Park and around the “lower bowl”. But instead of heading back to the stadium, you will take a 2nd loop that takes you out to the further most boundary of the park. Then head back around the “lower bowl” for a 2nd time. You will then be directed back to the stadium to finish your 6.2 miles.
There is also an option for those with young children! The family fun run will be approximately 1 mile in length. It will take place in the grass fields adjacent to the expo area and finish inside the Estancia High School stadium. Very exciting for the kids to cross the finish line and receive their medals!
The Costa Mesa Community Run has been able to grant nearly $100,000 to the schools of Costa Mesa. Bring your friends. Join your neighbors and fellow runners for one of the best races of the year!
