365 Things to do in Costa Mesa – The Costa Mesa Playhouse – Day 267

The Costa Mesa Playhouse has been dedicated to serving the Orange County community for over 40 years.  This non-profit community theater presents quality live theater at its 73-seat venue. The Costa Mesa Playhouse aims to bring talented actors, singers, dancers and stage craftspeople of Orange County together in an intimate setting to perfect their craft.

The Costa Mesa Playhouse has a 10-month-long season which runs from September through June with 5 productions per season.  The Playhouse is operated by a volunteer board of members.  Most of the behind the scenes tasks are also performed by volunteers.

Funding for the theater is possible through ticket sales, donations and fundraisers.  Majority of the available funds are spent on securing rights to plays, costumes, materials and production staff fees.  The staff and crew members of the Playhouse are extremely dedicated and strive to share their love of theater with the public.
