The City of Costa Mesa is participating as an official Host Town for the Special Olympics World games in Los Angeles this July. 96 delegates from Aruba and the Bahamas will be staying in Costa Mesa from July 21-24. The program will include cultural activities unique to our city and training for the games. The Host Town experience is a community effort and would not be made possible without the help of the public. It takes $100 a day to host one athlete in our town, and there are opportunities for your organization, company or household to get involved. Your group can hold a fundraiser, donate an in-kind item, be a volunteer and donate your time, or make a generous tax-deductible monetary donation in any amount.
Please contact Jennifer Christ at the City of Costa Mesa if you’d like to contribute and help ensure a memorable experience for our guests. Jennifer.christ@costamesaca.gov .
