From Jan. 22nd, 2016 to Jan. 23rd, 2016 at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts on 600 Town Center Dr., Costa Mesa, California 92626 the Nufonia Must Fall event will be going on.
LIVE – Nufonia Must Fall is an event that is equal parts musical concert, theatre and cinema. An incredible staff of puppeteers will bring the characters of Kid Koala’s graphic book Nufonia Must Fall to life within miniature sets constructed to recreate every scene from the novel.
Beneath the direction of KK Barrett, renowned production designer, (Being John Malkovich, Adaptation, Where the Wild Things Are, Her), the performance is filmed, cinematically lit, as well as projected on the big screen. Kid Koala, who is accompanied by the Afiara String Quartet, will perform his original score on the turntable and piano. All these elements come together within real time.
