Cinco de mayo


On May 5th, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts on 600 Town Center Dr., Costa Mesa, California 92626 come and celebrate the Cinco de Mayo Music Event.

Segerstrom Center for the Arts is going to celebrate Cinco de Mayo with free activities and performances on its Arts Plaza in addition to a ticketed performance by Sol de Mexico, Grammy-nominated Mariachi, on May 5 at 8 p.m. within the Renée & Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall. Arts Plaza fun will include:

  • At 6:45 p.m. José Hernandez Mariachi Academy – Talented mariachi José Hernandez Mariachi Academy students in Santa Ana are going to be performing songs in the Arts Plaza.
  • At 7 p.m. Conjunto Tenocelomeh – Group of professional dancers and musicians committed to performing and preserving the gorgeous dance traditions and folk music of the Son Mexicano and Son Jarocho.
  • At 6 – 7:45 p.m. Food trucks – Serving their specialties are going to be Scooters Italian Ice and Taqueria de Anda.

Besides the delicious food and Arts Plaza performances, the Center’s Official Auto Partner, Kia Motors America, is going to host a free and fun activity! At 7:30 p.m., doors for the Mariachi Sol de Mexico will open with performances beginning at 8 p.m. Lobby admission is restricted only to ticket holders.
